2018 - 2023

For 5 years I made videos in the skit comedy space. Through this endeavor I developed my editing skills covering linear editing, SFX, VFX, and animations in the Adobe Creative Cloud.

The Classic Era: Anything Goes

At the advent of my channel it was called "Anything Goes", with the aim to create video about anything and everything. Videos were heavily inspired by Ryan Higa and Smosh style content. In this era I re-acquainted myself with the editing basics of after a 5 year hiatus. All edits in this era were done in Sony Vegas.

Middle Era: Adobe Creative Cloud

During the Covid-19 pandemic I upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and acquired a Lumix G7 camera. I spent a lot of time experimenting in Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition, and Premiere Pro. I also took an introductory film course at my university. Some of my favorite projects from this era are featured below.

Greatest Camper

This was the final era before I stopped making videos for the Alex Chuckles channel. Greatest Camper was a 5 part video series I drafted and created over the course of a few years. Originally it was 5 parts, but I only finished 3 before pivoting to other projects. The final 2 parts were filmed and halfway edited prior to transitioning.

For this project I experimented heavily with animation, storytelling, advanced masking, time remapping, and other VFX techniques.
